This Policy (“Policy”) is provided to make you aware of how First Quantum Minerals Limited ("FQM") collects, uses and manages personal information of online visitors and users of this Workday site (“Site”). FQM and its Subsidiaries collectively known as "FQM" or the "Company" view the personal privacy of users as an important matter and are committed to maintaining the security of personal information provided by users to FQM in accessing this Site. No personal information held by FQM will be processed unless the requirements for fair and lawful processing can be met. This Policy is specifically applicable to this Site.

Note: You must accept the terms of the Policy to create a candidate account and apply for jobs. If you choose to access and use the Careers Site, you agree and accept the terms of this Policy. If you do not agree with the following Policy, please refrain from viewing and/or using the Site.

Why we collect personal information

FQM will use the information submitted on this Site in various ways related to recruitment and employment including, but not limited to the following:

  • Match your details with job opportunities within FQM and to process and store information held about you for that purpose.
  • Provide you with information which may be of interest to you including information relating to employment opportunities within FQM, provided that you agree or requested us to send you such information (e.g. job alerts). You can choose to stop or opt out of these notifications anytime by informing us.
  • Carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and FQM
  • Notify you about changes or updates to your application, the Policy and this Site.

What we collect and how it’s used

  • Personal data including (but not limited to) your name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, your organisation and your position within that organisation that you provide by filling in forms on the Site including information provided at the time of registering to use the Site, information that you subsequently provide when updating registration details and information that you provide to us as a user of the Site (including your Curriculum Vitae). We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with the Site. We may use this information to contact you to inform you of status or progress of your request or when you requested further service (e.g. job alerts).
  • At the end of the recruitment process, subject to applicable law and if you consent where necessary, we may proceed with background checks, only to your eligibility to work, your employer references, qualifications and professional memberships. We may also ask you to obtain a police clearance and undertake a pre-employment medical or complete a pre-employment medical checklist.
  • Details of your visits to or usage of the Site include, but not limited to, IP information, browser type, traffic data, location data, weblogs, other communication data and the resources that you access. These are statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns. We may obtain this information by using one or more cookie files ("cookies"), which are short text files stored on the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer's hard drive and they help us to improve the structure of the Site. Cookies allow us to understand which pages and contents are visited or accessed frequently. You have the option to either accept or reject the cookie by setting up your browser accordingly. Disclosure of data

FQM may also share or disclose your information as follows:

Share your personal data with certain employees within FQM, who are relevant in the recruitment process, e.g. HR staff, hiring managers, department managers and other persons who may be assisting with the recruitment process. Note that your information and application details may be processed by the different Subsidiaries of FQM. Your submission of your application through this Site confirms your consent to this.

Disclose your personal data to third parties:

  • If we engage external consultants to assist FQM in matching personal data provided through this Site with job vacancies within the company.
  • If we engage external service providers to assist us with the operation or administration of this Site.
  • If we engage external consultants or specialists to provide advice on any aspect of your application for employment.
  • If any member of FQM or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it may be one of the transferred assets.
  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply the terms of this Privacy Statement.

Important: The data that we collect from you may be transferred, stored to and processed by staff operating outside your country, including the European Economic Area ("EEA"). By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Policy. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. However, unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Your Rights

You have various rights around your personal data including:

  • to know whether your personal data is being processed;
  • the purpose of the processing, the categories of data processed and the recipients thereof;
  • information relating to transfers of personal data outside of the European Union/the EEA; communication of your personal data, in an understandable format, as well as of all available information regarding the source of the origin of the data;
  • information necessary to understand and contest the reasoning behind the processing in case of a decision being made on this basis and having a legal effect upon you;
  • a free copy of the personal data supplied by you, held by us;
  • right of data portability, you may receive data you have previously supplied in a machine readable format, as well as request the transfer of the same data to another controller.
  • right to erasure, or ‘the right to be forgotten’, upon a legitimate request, your data will be erased.
  • right to rectification, upon request, inaccurate personal details can be rectified and incomplete personal details may be completed.
  • the right to restrict processing, upon a legitimate request the ways in which your data is used can be limited.
  • the right not to process your personal data for direct marketing (e.g. job alert) purposes unless you request this.
  • the right, at any time, to withdraw consent for processing, which will result in the deletion of your account.

Changes in information

Should there be any required (e.g. legal or company) changes to the Policy, you will be informed of these changes so that you always know which information we collect and how we use this information.

At any time, you may access your account to edit, update, make new applications, cancel current applications, activate or deactivate job alert registrations or to remove your account entirely from our records. In some countries we are required by law to hold personal data for a prescribed period. If you ask us not to further consider your personal data in our recruitment processes, we will exclude your personal data from access by the recruiting staff and we will delete it from our records as soon as we are legally permitted to do so. On request, you may also seek access to information retained by our company that was used.

Security

FQM takes all reasonable security measures to protect personal information from loss, unauthorized access, destruction, misuse, modification or disclosure. As far as permissible under law, FQM accepts no responsibility for the unauthorized access of personal information held by the FQM.

It is your responsibility to keep your login and password details private to prevent unauthorized access. We will also take reasonable steps to verify your identify before granting access or making corrections.

I understand that data submitted via this application will be held on a cloud-based system hosted in Ireland.

I hereby consent to my personal information being stored (in any format) or processed by, or transferred to, FQM and its subsidiaries or to FQM's third party service providers, wherever situated, as required for the purposes of my prospective employment by FQM.
