Taca Taca is in Salta Province, north-west Argentina, 55km east of the Chilean coast. The deposit is suitable for conventional, large-scale, bulk open-pit mining.

Historical estimates of mineral resources, dating back to 2013, have been updated by First Quantum’s own detailed reviews, and a full environmental and social baseline study is at an advanced stage, along with discussions with local communities and authorities.

First Quantum has consolidated several concessions and exploration permits. The property is subject to a 1.5% net smelter returns royalty. The most advanced target is Vendaval, 40km to the north-west of Taca Taca.
