We are committed to enhancing our suppliers’ capabilities, whether through providing training on process management, helping with quality assurance or safety, or through improving local infrastructure development to make it easier for ourselves and our suppliers to conduct our business. We are committed to sharing the value we create with the communities around our mines, , which is why, wherever possible, we look to work with local businesses and contractors.
What we look for
We will only do business with suppliers who maintain lawful business practices, safe, healthy and fair workplaces, have zero tolerance for human rights violations and conduct their business in a way that minimizes their environmental impact.
We take firm measures to ensure that contractors and suppliers comply with the laws applicable to our work in the countries in which we operate as well as maintaining and enforcing our own Code of Conduct. Monitoring at each of our operations is undertaken by site commercial, operational and community relations teams in addition to a whistleblowing hotline and grievance mechanisms. Any suppliers that we work with must immediately inform us of any issues and make efforts to remedy and address any instances of non-compliance.
