While governments have the primary duty to protect human rights, respect for these rights is fundamental to our values.
Our approach is guided by international human rights standards including the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (“VPSHR”).
We are committed to effectively managing our business activities that could cause, contribute, or be directly linked to negative human rights impacts. We seek to achieve this outcome by engaging with our employees, suppliers, communities and Indigenous Peoples where we operate.
Our commitment to human rights – as set out in our Human Rights Policy – focuses on six areas: labor standards, protecting employee privacy, health and safety, communities, Indigenous Peoples and security, as set out in our human rights policy.
