Modern slavery
At First Quantum, we have zero tolerance for human rights violations.
Independent, external review
As part of our Human Rights Policy, we embrace all internationally recognized human rights, and work to ensure they are protected across our operations.
We identify, assess, and address risks related to all forms of modern slavery, and continue our progress in this space.
An independent human rights assessment measures our strengths and weaknesses and helps inform our Human Rights Policy and Code of Conduct. These standards reach beyond First Quantum to include our suppliers.
We use external data sources, such as the Global Slavery Index 2023 and Responsible Sourcing Tool, to review country risks and prioritize extra control measures that may be needed.
“First Quantum has a zero tolerance stance on human rights violations by any party, whether internal or external. This includes employees, suppliers and third parties.”
Angus Kennedy-Perkins,
Group Manager, Legal and Commercial Projects
